Bend Family Dentistry Supports Children’s Festival

Bend Family Dentistry is the title sponsor for Saving Grace’s (formerly COBRA) 20th Annual Children’s Festival. They were sponsors for last year’s Festival as well. Dr. Brad Hester and his staff think that giving back to the community is important. “Causes which encourage and support families are a personal favorite,” says Dr. Hester.
The Children’s Festival is held the third Saturday in July at Drake Park in Bend. Children and their parents enjoy face painting, hat making, fishing in the stuffed animal corral and exploring the more than 50 booths filled with fun activities.
On Festival day, you’ll find Bend Family Dentistry hosting the beanbag toss. The one-and-only sparkling Tooth Fairy will be collecting –and- rewarding those who present their lost teeth.
All proceeds from the festival go to support Saving Grace’s domestic violence and sexual assault services, including a 24-bed confidential shelter. For more information about the Children’s Festival, call 541-382-9227.

Nosler introduces lead-free E-Tip lineup

Nosler introduces two calibers to the lead-free E-Tip lineup. Now available in .270 130-grain and 7mm 150-grain, Nosler's patent pending E-Tip is built on a highly concentric gilding metal frame, which provides unsurpassed penetration and weight retention.

Nosler's exclusive E2 Cavity (Energy Expansion Cavity) allows for immediate and uniform expansion yet retains 95%+ weight for improved penetration.
Nosler's E-Tip is available at gun and sporting goods dealers across the U.S., in Canada and in many countries overseas.

OK Teams

Opportunity Knocks will be starting two new teams this fall. Each of the OK teams operates independently and includes approximately 10-12 different non-competing businesses and two volunteer facilitators. The individual teams meet once a month for three hours to serve as a board of advisors for each other. In a confidential environment, members help each other with business challenges and other business related issues. Meetings are structured, follow an agenda and keep members accountable. Confidentiality is respected and maintained within the individual groups, as well as a monthly commitment to fellow team members to attend each meeting.
OK’s membership fee is based on the size of the participating business and the number of full time employees. A business with 1-5 employees is $300 and with 6 employees and above is $600 per year.
For more information on the OK Programs, please, contact Susie Stevens, Executive Director, Opportunity Knocks susie@opp-knocks.org or phone 541-318-4650.
